Some H&M Beauties

Hey readers, so i've recently bought a few cute pieces from H&M and wanted to share some of them with you...

I've been coveting co-ordinates all season and though i've seen so many pretty pairs around (in Miss Selfridge, Topshop, River Island to name a few..), i've been looking for the perfect 'twosie' that I can wear whenever and wherever. I came across this beaut set in H&M and had to get it. Firstly, crop top? Check. Secondly, elasticated-baggy-so-I-can-eat-whatever-I-wish-trousers? Check. Thirdly, perfect for the Summer print? Check! I actually wore the set to work and I know there'll be more uses coming soon... Have you got yourself some co-ords? I completed the outfit with my go-to sandals for the season from New Look, they've been thrown into most of my outfits recently and the heel is pretty low so oh so practical. I can't think of a better way to say a fashionable hello to the sunshine...

I also wanted to share with you the latest addition to my shoe shrine. I had my eye on these gorgeous monochrome shoe boots for ages and knew I had to get them. I haven't had chance to wear them just yet (i'm nursing a broken arm at the moment so i've had to involuntarily sacrifice the heels :() so I can't tell you how comfortable they are but i'm pretty sure being black and white, i'll find plenty of outfits to pair them with. Plus as they are shoe boots, they're the perfect transitional pair. If your local H&M stocks them, i'd definitely recommend the purchase!

Hello Spring!

[Extracting a few posts from my old blog]
Hey readers, so I wore this outfit the one day we had some sunshine, when was the last time you got to walk out in just a jacket?!
This was just a little outfit for work but it was so exciting not having to throw on millions of layers for a change. I’m wearing my new high-waisted Joni Jeans from Topshop which I absolutely love! They’ve got quite a vintage look to them and I love Topshop’s jeans fit. I’ve paired them with a black scallop top and my gorgeous coral Chanel like jacket find in a recent sample sale. Also, I adore these studded cut out sandals from River Island that I bagged during the Christmas Sales. I can’t wait to wear them more often when we have better weather again! Plus, despite the heel, they are mega comfortable <3 I’ve completed the look with my beloved LV. What do you think of the look? So nice to be able to wear some colour! Plus, I would definitely recommend these jeans to anyone and everyone!

My Little Visit To Leicester

[Extracting a few posts from my old blog]

I recently made a little trip to Leicester to visit a loved one. I was only there for a few days and surprise surprise, spent most of my time at the High Cross Shopping Centre.

My outfit for the day, I admittedly have also jumped onto the comeback of tartan bandwagon with these high waisted tartan jeans which I absolutely love. I’ve worn them so much since purchasing, they’re trendy and have a great fit. Well done River Island. I’ve been quite tempted to also buy the matching blazer but I just have so many jackets.. I’m still working on a better reason to justify it! I’ve paired the jeans with a leather (pu) top from Zara that I bagged in the Christmas sales, it’s pretty cute as a basic top to just throw on and not look so simple. I’m all for statement necklaces and i’m loving this elegant piece I picked up from Coast; they have some amazing accessories and jewellery that gets undermined as we don’t always associate the brand with such beaut accessories. I would definitely recommend my fellow magpies to pay a little visit. I’ve also had a rings update recently as I tend to lose most of them; the black and gold ring is from Diva, Miss Selfridge and the gold finger ring is from Primark. I’ve thrown on my favourite coat from Jovonnista and my beloved Bayswater to complete the outfit. Minus-ridic-unbelievably-freezing-weather, i’m ready…

We also went to a local bar during the visit and after much debate, here’s what I wore in the evening:
From all of my outfit options (they were all midis!), I picked this number which i’d purchased earlier in the day from Primark. Now I must admit, I rarely ever shop in Primark due to personal preference but I can’t help but pick out the odd item when I go with my sister (she has a great eye and definitely a lot more patience compared to me!). I really liked this dress, one because i’m all about midis at the moment and two, it will be a great piece I can also wear during the day. As the bar was quite local and low key, I thought this casual midi would work great. I sadly didn’t take a lot of accessories with me, especially as I don’t already travel light, so i’ve paired it with what I could; a studded clutch from Zara and black wedges (that you can’t unfortunately see!) that I’d also bought earlier in the day. So, what do you make of midis – a fashion do or don’t?

And the icing on the cake… I also paid a cheeky little visit to Tinseltown whilst in Leicester and despite my “diet”, I couldn’t resist their sweet waffles topped in toffee sauce and me being me, covered with rainbow sprinkles and finished with vanilla ice cream. How delicious does this look?

Newness: My A/W12 Coat

[Extracting a few posts from my  old blog]
This is a really quick post to show you my new coat. There’s been a lot of the PU sleeved coats and jackets around but i’ve steered away until I spotted this from the exclusive Jovonnista collection by Jovonna London based in Topshop, Oxford Circus. I really liked the double breasted blazer look and the colour is a really nice coffee brown. I’ve been able to wear it with pretty much everything, it’s so nice and smart, it’s most definitely become my go-to coat for this season. What’s your AW12 Coat?

Who Said Comfortable Couldn’t Be Chic?

[Extracting a few posts from my old blog]
It’s A Jeans Kind Of Day… I’ve fallen in love with this denim pair by Oasis. They have more of an edge to them and I felt I could rock them up and avoid looking casual. To top it off, they are so comfortable… What better to wear than these to beat the Winter blues? I <3

To complete the look, I just had to pair it with my sheer back dipped hem top from River Island – despite creasing instantly, this top is a must buy. I’ve tucked it in from the front to show off the jeans and added a studded belt from Oasis to finish off the edgy look. It’s a belt I purchased years ago but i’m so glad I still get to wear it as studs are still high on the fashion radar! The statement collar by Diva, Miss Selfridge is gorgeous! I’m still loving statement necklaces and this is pretty perfect to throw on any simple top or dress for the effortless look. The River Island boots have become my go to Winter ’12 pair! They’ve become one of those.. “I love them so much, I’ve forgotten about the other 50 in my wardrobe!” They are just so comfortable and yet so chic. Several people have asked me where I’ve got them from and they are so worth it. If you’re looking for your Winter boots, I would totally recommend these. The bag is another favourite, my beloved Mulberry from the Tillie family. I just can’t get enough of it, i’m so glad I bought the black, plus the casual satchel look means I can wear it with every outfit. Also, you know I’m still rocking my fave MAC lipstick, ‘Dubonett’. Everyone needs this colour especially for A/W! What’s your go-to comfort look?

Something Old, Something Borrowed & Something Red…

[Extracting a few posts from my old blog]
With the seasons officially changed and the unbearable cold weather upon us, it’s finally time to channel the cosy knits and fashionable fur (faux), I guess the only positive about A/W. In this outfit of the day, i’m wearing my warm mono knit jumper from Warehouse. I bought it last year but I still love wearing it, it’s got quite a classic Chanel feel to it, plus you can pretty much throw it over anything. I’ve worn it over a pair of grey skinny jeans from Topshop; a pair I purchased over 2 years ago and is still such great quality!
I love my new Winter ankle boots i’m wearing from River Island! They’re a classic black pair with a high platform, I would recommend them to everyone looking for a timeless pair of boots to last throughout the year! I don’t wear grey or silver a lot so this is the one of the few times I’ve got to wear my vintage cuff! I love the red as it adds some colour to the outfit.
For anyone who knows me, I LOVE wearing lipstick! My favourites are by YSL but my everyday colours are usually by MAC. I’ve finished the outfit with my new MAC lipstick ‘Dubonnet’. I usually wear nudes but I thought this shade would be perfect to help add colour to the oufit.
Hope this has inspired you to pull out your old favourites from your wardrobe! It’s not always about buying all the latest styles but reworking the old with the new!
Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend! <3
